Llangefni-based FAUN was a finalist in the Manufacturers’ Association EEF Awards in the innovative people and practices category for its ‘flexible’ working scheme.
The firm, which is a division of the German-owned Kirchhoff Group, is a leading manufacturer of
refuse collection vehicles and temporary roadways used in the defence industry – most recently in
the rescue efforts following the floods in Cumbria.
FAUN is a successor to Laird Anglesey which was established in 1890 and employs over a
hundred people at its site in Llangefni.
Alun Jones, managing director of FAUN UK, said: “The award nomination is a credit to the entire
team at Llangefni and it is an important recognition of our manufacturing expertise.
“Seeing our products used to help the victims of the Cumbrian floods has also delivered an
enormous sense of pride to everyone at the company.”
The EEF Regional Awards for Wales took place on 26th November.
