FAUN Trackway Limited Signs Multi-Million-Pound Contract For Dutch Ministry of Defence
FAUN Trackway Limited are delighted to have secured a milestone multi-million-pound contract for the Dutch Ministry of Defence.
FAUN Trackway Limited are delighted to have secured a multi-million-pound contract for the Dutch Ministry of Defence. With all manufacturing requirements taking place at its Head Quarters in North Wales, the milestone contract will supply the Royal Netherlands Army with tranches of Heavy Ground Mobility Systems, with final delivery in 2025.
Enabling the rapid deployment and recovery of the aluminium roadway which prevents heavyweight vehicles from becoming bogged down in adverse conditions such as snow, marsh, mud and sand, the system works by mounting the M150 Trackway® onto a hydraulic spool, which is fixed to a chassis. Requiring only two personnel to operate, the system is powered by the vehicle’s engine, allowing the full length of M150 Trackway® to be deployed in under six minutes.
Chris Kendall, CEO at FAUN Trackway Limited, said: “This is a landmark agreement for FAUN Trackway Limited in our 70+ year history. Having recently delivered contracts to a number of countries including Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, Norway and Turkey, this contract builds upon our already strong working partnership with NATO nations.
Our system will allow the Royal Netherlands Army to reinforce its on-the-ground capabilities by providing quick and easy access for vehicles in all types of environments”.
